SYNOPSIS:
Florence Orville was once the top agent at the high-powered Blanchstone Agency, nicknamed
Miss Dragonheel "after a co-worker's wry remark about her determined temperament and footwear." Only one thing
could---and did---undo her: being exposed as a black woman passing for white. Forced off her mountain by the resulting
scandal and notoriety, she fluctuates between reality and fantasy, and possibly between sanity and insanity, taking adventures
in the large oak tree in her backyard and tormented both by her past and by an Afrocentric vagabond she disparagingly refers
to as "Dashiki Drab." But a chance encounter with dark-skinned Breed Hamilton, a seemingly innocent artisan who idolizes
Miss Dragonheel in his portraits, forces her to venture outside of her self-absorption and to rediscover her true identity
and that of her alter ego Miss Dragonheel.
